SATA 3 Drives

Forgive me if this has already been answered. I did search the posts quite thoroughly but could not find information on the SATA 3 drives. Have these drives been tested with PT's LE?

I am going with the AMD 64bit chip with my 001 but I was wondering how much of a performance difference will there be between the 3000+ and the 3500+. I am using the 800mhz Asus MB. Thanks.
