Wow...
I've got a rear exaust fan and Volcano CPU sink.
My XP stays well within acceptable thermal range.
I know Tbirds tend to run a bit hotter but it seems to me you could get by with less.

Jeffro is correct.

There are Athlon boards available that accept SDRAM.

I recently got a deal on a board for an office workstation that provided slots for both DDR and SDRAM... your choice....

There is no PTLE feature for PC users to directly import tracks (.cda) from and audio CD.
To import tracks they must first be ripped using a third party application. There are many free ones...

Expand that line and you'll see Promise Technology Inc Ultra IDE controller.

Yes, CDrom in the secondary.
If it's alone on the cable, make sure it's on the end connector on the ribbon and jumpered "Master".
In theory "Cable select" should work but sometimes it's stubborn.

Go into BIOS setup and make sure that your CDrom in included in the boot order... before HD-0.
Put your XP CD in and power up.
The system will boot from the CD.
