I found the preferred solution was to convert the MP4 Video which had H264 and AAC to DNxHD and PCM at the same sample rate and bit size of my project.

thanks for the response.
I found the answer solving a simular problem with my presonus board.
The answer was as you sugested to set the 1394 card into Legacy mode.

I got the AllenH PC up and running, Ordered from NewEgg Tuesday and got everything by Thursday. Only difference is instead of the LiteOn CD-RW I got the Sony locally same specs and 1G RAM.
