For me personally once you try and get used to working with protools you wont go back. I've used Cubase, Logic, Sequoia, Audition, Reason and Live in the past but once I got using PT everything else...

I had exactly the same issues as yourself after I upgraded my system. 9092 errors constantly no matter what settings the playback engine was set at. I also use an Mbox2 Pro.

Yeah I agree it may well have worked with a TI FW card. Problem being that in the UK its pretty hard to get hold of either of the cards digi recommend and most site's and stores either don't tell you...

Problem was resolved by changing motherboards to an ASUS P5K premium wi/fi.

Avoid the P5K PRO, it has more problems with PT than you can imagine!

Quick update, Have also tried using an old ATI GPU card, to no effect.
