Re: Getting nasty static on all inputs

To clarify the static is a very harsh digital corruption of the signal if that makes sense. Not just hiss or static.

Let me know where to start troubleshooting.

Re: Powered Monitors for under $350

KRK St-8's. Or the ST-6's, but the 8's have a little better low end.

These speakers rock. They are passive though so you need an amp, but they are priced well. ST-6's are 200$ pr. and ST-8's are...

Re: Upgrading from an 001 what to get?

Ive read good things on the Mytek as well, I just thought the MiniMe would be a better deal with the pre's and slight compression curves. But I cant afford really nice converters AND a pre. ...

Upgrading from an 001 what to get?

I want to upgrade my Digi001. I like it but I feel like the converters are a little dated (read "crappy").

Re: Yes! It\'s another mic pre post!!!!!!!!

How does everyone feel about Prismsound, like the Dream AD-2? I hear they make great converters but dont hear them mentioned very much. They are kind of pricey though.

Re: Yes! It\'s another mic pre post !!!!!!!!

The apogee Minime has pre amped inputs and has a compressor.

You could always use the 002r's DA's right? so you dont need the apogee DAC.
