For anyone who's interested or may have the same issue on a new Mac running High Sierra I solved this problem by repairing permissions on my home folder using this workaround.

Can't get PT 2018 to start up at all.

Basically it just bounces in the dock.

If I create a new Apple account on the computer it will start up no problem but on my main account it won't load (...

OK, I was doing some 80 input gig the other night with the Venue and the monitor guy and myself were trying to follow the channel list ( via comms ) as more and more stereo feeds were being added on...

OK, so normally this would mean 2 x 4 way BNC looms from the FOH rack down to each individual stage rack for say 96 channels, but I have a mate who seems convinced that you can send one BNC loom...

Ah, thanks, so basically I'll be using a standard analogue splitter. You'd have thought the stagebox would have had a digital through to the monitor desk so they're both using the same box....
