It doesn't matter if your pugged in to the mains supply or not - it'll still keep checking your battery...

Eventually(!) found out what the problem was with the 909 message and is one that, until Acer fix the problem, will have to be sorted by anyone with a laptop in the 1500 or 1520 range (not the 1510...

Here's my new system and the results I've had.
The system has been tweaked for a better performance. Don't know if I can squeeze any more out of it...
