I also wondered why they dont offer the 1.5 Centrino....that just seemed weird to me. I was really looking into buying an 8600, and still am, unless I find out there is some major flaw with them....

I am not saying using s-video out...man that would suck. I am just saying I think with that docking station running dual lcd's would be possible. I however am not looking for that in a laptop...

Sorry RA, but I cant believe you cause you left out something the laptop offers the s-video out as well. If the drivers are anything like my nview, which if you had the GeForce Go it probably would...

The dell notebooks if you get the docking station have both a dvi and a vga port on them, I would assume you could then hook up two monitors to that if you disabled the laptop LCD....

Just go with anything with the centrino logo on it and you probably going to be ok. Other than that check out some of the AMD based systems, those seem to perform pretty well too.

Still the fact you have managed to pull 32+9 out on a laptop with only 256Mb of Ram, thats just crazy to me. I think the centrinos are the way to go.

BTW not sure if anyone knows anything about...

Now looking over the intel site, the centrino just means its a pentium m and include wireless lan. So is there a difference between a system with a pentium mobile and a centrino as far as processor...

I really do think you were doing something wrong....compared to the results on the other laptops we have seen, i would expect at least 32, if not 32+4 or even +6.
