As we all know benchmarks mean nothing if it wont load pro-tools or play back any tracks. I am simply stating that for now the chipset, code and compatability of a PIIII is not worth the money until...

Click tracks work for some music but not for others. It is allways good to record the

Drums, Bass and Guitar in one pass all live then do over dubs after that.

Do not do it !!!!!! They are a bear to tweak to get working for the digi and if you do not know bios tweaks it is a nightmare.

Simply buy a Plextor or Teac or HP 4x8x32
and use the cdrw's for backing up and the cdr's for burning audio you can use bolth.The software that comes with the burner determines the outcome of data...
