Re: will pro tools LE chase tape?

I've got the ref. guide.. and, though detailed, it's kind of vague about whether or not this is a TDM only feature. It outlines very clearly how to get OTHER gear to follow Pro Tools, but not the...

try this

Assuming the vocal is centered, and not processed through some crazy spatial thing, or 'wide stereo' effect.. you can try this. Create 2 stereo tracks in pro tools, drag the song into one of the...

Re: to much low\'s on female vocal track

I always start with the obvious...

is she maybe singing into the wrong side of the mic?

I'm sure that's not the cause, but i had to throw it out there.
Good Luck!

Re: digi 002 and other soft

that's one of the beautiful things about core audio. You can use it exactly like a moto, or Maudio.. or whatever..
Those apps should seamlessly access the Digi002.

Re: What do you do when you\'ve outgrown LE?...

if the LE hardware sounds good to you, you could always use Logic or DP when your track count gets too high..
I think HD's cost is bloated... nearing extortion. Add plug ins and a few cards and...

Re: Easy way to test for mono compatibility in session

that wont really work... the point of checking mono compatibility is to see what kind of phasing descrepencys you'll experience (with pans in place) when your mix is collapsed to mono. THis is SUPER...

Re: TECHNIQUE QUESTION

you're a little behind the 8 ball on that one. You're going to need to use both mbox inputs.. so you wont have a free input even if you had a smpte generator. You could do smpte to midi into some USB...

Re: Easy way to test for mono compatibility in ses

plug your headphone jack into your amp or mixer. Hit 'Mono".

Or, put a mono, post fader aux on every track set to unity. Return that mono aux on a new track and solo it.

Re: Anyone successfuly use an Emagic A26 on PT Free?

PT free will only support 2 outputs, no matter which outputs you use. There are only a small handful of i/o devices that PTF will recognize. When you do, latency is brutal.. because PTF 'thinks' it's...

Re: More voices on LE with G4???

I think you're missing what PT is trying to tell you. The reason those voices are greyed out is because your mbox only has outputs 1&2 available, and the TDM session probably had 8 at the very least....

Digi001/os10.3.4/CoreA 6.5.2 DP 4.1.2 CRashing

Anyone get Digital Performer to play through a digi 001?

Obviously DP recognizes the hardware, but as soon as i select it for output, a lot of error messages come up, and then it quits.

Re: How much to charge for cds

what about trying to get a client to understand that the time you use to print a rough is still 'time' ? That's always sticky.

And for the record, $3 is cheap for blanks.... i charge $1 to burn...

Re: Negitive Posts........ not good digi

The simple fact is that Pro Tools is now being used by a HUGE range of people. Many of whom are far from "Pro". I use PT to make a living. For me, it's not a hobby, or a tool to just write/record my...

Re: How to encode a 5.1 mix to cd

you'll have to buy a software encoder from Dolby Labs....

OR....... you could track down a copy of Sonic Foundry's "Soft Encode", which will only run on a pee-cee. This was out for about a month...
