I have found a practical steal for a Lacie 500gb, 7200 rpm, USB 3.0 external drive.

My thunderbolt port is already in use for extra monitors so 3.0 is my only option at this point for the best...

Yeah that's what everyone has been telling me. I missed the fine print when upgrading to 11. Now I'm looking at a novel scale of upgrades just to run it. Thanks for the advice

It also could be the fact that I am not running a dual drive at 7200 rpm as opposed to my current factory setup but it hasn't been an issue until PT 11. But hey...no bigs, I'll tear apart my Mac mini...
