Before I purchased AVID Dock, I used the Shuttlepro V2. It is USB, has 15 buttons in addition to a shuttle/jog wheel. Poor mans controller. I got quite used to it. Helped speed things up...

Yes I have. Moving plugins to unused area did not have any affect. I just read in the other thread about autosave may be something to look at. Going to try disabling that this weekend.

sounds more like a clock issue to me. I accidentally bumped one of my devices clock to 44.1 and the other at 48 (surprised it worked at all) and it was a robotic type sound as described.
