I read somewhere (can't remember where) someone saying the setup worked but he could only acces I/Os 1 & 2 on the Digi001 (with Panther and PTLE 6.2.2). Is this true or did I dream that?

I use it all the time, you need to go to system preferences and put the system sound back to built-in audio. The only way to get DP to work with the Digi driver is to NOT have your OSX use it.

I have a question for the engineers. Whatever sampling rate you use for recording, if your final destination is Audio CD you have to bring it back to 44.1KHz...

Thanks for your help digi!

Unfortunately that's what I did. The way I had done it before (on my old hard drive). I had used the serial # inside the getting started guide, same as the one I entered...

I've been using PTLE 5.1.1 (and then 5.2.1) for a while with the Digi001.

yesterday I had to change my hard drive, so i reinstalled PTLE 5.1.1 and now when I enter the serial number to authorize...

P_J is right. You can't use Free midi with the Digi 001's midi port. You have to use another interface. P_C suggested the Motu FastLane. It's a good choice, it works great.

The Digi 001's midi interface will work with DP only in OMS mode. In other words, it won't work with Free Midi.

For SMPTE just buy Digital performer, it works fine with Digi001.
