Here it is 2020 and still no fix for this. Whimpy software can't even shut itself down properly. Nobody's ever seen anything like it. :eek:

I Had this same problem. When I ran the Avid Virtual Instruments 10 Installer, it displayed a message about a newer version and then quit when I clicked ok.

Amazing.. so tell me, did you pay $39.95 to report this bug as I did? What a racket they have going - don't fix bugs, allows users to continue to pay for support calls to report it, WIN/LOSE - FAIL....

Had this same problem. I found that it works if another plug-in is inserted in front of it. The other plug-in can be bypassed.
