Yep,
I held out too for three years and decided stability was more important than the added features. Just got 7.1 in the mail this week along with Logic Pro 7.2. Glad to see not everyone jumps on...

Most of the stability issues with PTLE were PTLE version issues and motherboard brand/chipset related. Since starting the Best Desktop thread the stability increase was amazing when we went to Asus...

I would build a Tyan Quad Shane, but I don't have a floppy drive anymore.

Also, are the Tyan instructions really written upside down?

Personally I prefer products made in China vs. Tyanese....

Give us your results now before and after the ram upgrade. 2G vs. 4G

At the price of adding 2 G of ram we can probably get by with recommending 2G on the Asus board and drop the price...
