Yes, Core Audio driver will be updated but it works fine with Logic on LE.
The 8.0.3 update cuts support for HD systems via TDM, if I recall correctly.

There are others that have problems with the classic compressors authorization. In my case, Got my 003 after PT8 was announced but it shipped with 7.4 and old authorizations.
