Mine is also really quite, I can barely hear the fans even when I'm pushing it. So its not the fans my problem. even when its in 1300rpm you can hear sometimes a high frequency (around to 2.5khz)...

I'm thinking to do that, although I will have to stay without a machine for a month at least, because they don't have a stock in case of giving me another one. its not always annoying (or noticeable)...

Yeah I did some tests with m1 air, 8gb and it wasn't that it wasn't fast, but I felt it wasn't stable at all. The video engine worked quite good but of course I run out of memory (because of 8gb).

Also another question, I tried to run PT 2021.10 on MacBook Air M1 and I noticed that PT was running through rosetta and not natively. Is that normal or it should running natively?

The thing is that I did the same test on my Intel i7 MacBook Pro 2019 and I had better results. So this make me wondering if an m1 pro could have better performance than m1 pro chip.
