I have a 1.6, which sees my cards, but at the end of booting PT it says it cannot communicate with hardware (-6004). Is this the same problem or another?

G5 DAE error -6004

I am getting -6004 error at the end of load of Pro Tools. Anyone overcome this?? Already did all the stuff on Digi announced trouble shoot.

G5, 1.6, 1.25 gig ram, internal serial drive...

I have no experience with Mezzo, but I can tell you that Retrospect is rock solid! Never a problem. The standard for my most serious clients.

Luke, you should be able get all 64 tracks on one drive! Are you using round robin?
It is a waste of time and a nightmare to keep track of files if you are constantly doing projects.. FYI just...

Bro, how reliable do you need? When you go to mastering you only play it in once... Go with compatibility. If your mastering guy wants dats, give dats. Dig in and dig out it's only 1 and o's. ...

Remember beegster.. It's all 1 & 0's till someone gets hurt. There will be no sound difference between the mediums you mentioned if you go in digital. It's just information. Barnabas is right just...

Supporting the 160 drives won't change a thing. I have 160 drives and I have to slow them down. The problem is I got producers running as many tracks as they want on Logic or DP and then I mix on PT....
