I often have that problem, and when I reduce the buffer size (Setups -> Playback Engine) it's usually fixed.

I press record, arm the track, then play, and recording starts immediately! Even when I specify a 1 bar 'pre-roll' in the transport...

I have just this minute got my Dell 8600 out of the box, to find that the 1394 port on the laptop isn't the same as the cable with my 002R...

The port on the 8600 is way smaller than the cable...

Do these results give any idea about how many tracks can be recorded at once? Sure, a setup may be able to playback 32 +15 at the same time, but how many tracks...
