Yeah thats true. Actually, I have a question about that - are the 'bits' of a wave assigned in a 1:1 ratio with amplitude? For example, if I recorded a signal in 24 bit, which peaked at exactly 50%...

I have a SATA drive (Western Digital) and an A7600x, and I also can't get XP to recognise the drive. I'm attempting to use the SATA drive as the secondary drive, with a normal IDE as the boot drive....

Really? I don't notice any clock problems in any of my audio, but maybe I would if I were looking back on it after using an external clock? I don't think I can justify spending that kind of money on...

I've never used it with the wrapper, but have used it with rewire. Works okay...I usually do most of the work in FL standalone and only rewire when necessary

Why, is it bad or good?

And yes, I'll be recording all voices, all styles most likely. I could probably afford maybe $3500 for mic and pre.
