Apple is quietly dropping firewire support in their computers. Maybe that has something to do with the MBP disappearance.

If your tracks are in the region window, but not in the session window, you may have "hidden" the tracks by accident. Right click on the tracks in the region window and select "show and make active."

Use the View drop down menu to show instrument tracks in the edit window. You can select the output of your instrument track from there.

Marketing departments use published specs.

I love the sound of Trident consoles and mic pres. They didn't design their gear with specs in mind. They just kept working until is "sounded" right....

Firewire ports do not like to be hot-swapped. Devices should be powered down BEFORE plugging or unplugging firewire cables. Otherwise you run the risk of frying your firewire ports on the device and...

+++ for Black Lion mod. IMHO it sounds much better than the Apogee. If resale is important to you, the Apogee will retain more of it's value. If audio quality is more important, take the value loss...
