They shouldn't be on the same bus. I have them hooked up 1st port and 3rd port. I think it may just be the Core X eGPU. I am going to try Sonnet I guess?

Clean install. You. know what's even more bizarre. I just unhooked my eGPU and now the error has seemed to stop. I may have spoken too soon. We shall see here in a few minutes of looping playback.

I am not using internal graphics. I am using an eGPU with a Vega 56 card.

I just tried the exact things you recommended and after about 5 minutes of playback: -6101 ugh! This was at 256 buffer

Same issue here. 2018 Mac mini. Horsepower for days, tiny little session playing back barely touching the CPU performance meter and BOOM -9173 error. It is driving me batty!!!

I have a Vega 56. It makes no difference to Pro Tools. Avid just hasn't optimized things I guess.

I have a very similar setup to yours and I am plagued by 9173/6101 errors on this 2018 Mac mini. It is driving me NUTS!

Low Latency Monitoring no longer working.

So has anyone else noticed that in PT 12.8.3 Low Latency Monitoring does not work as it once did? Audio passes through PT even when it is enabled now.

When trying to load Antares AVOX 4 Plug-Ins.

Agreed. For me this is another show stopper bug. Maybe not as bad as not having VCA faders, but nonetheless it should be high priority for Avid to fix this immediately.

Bummer. I have no idea why it would be happening for some and not others. I have done a clean installed and trashed all the prefs. Still does it.

Are you making sure that you do not move the mouse at all when changing tools? If you leave the mouse still and hit F6 you should see what I am talking about where the tool icon itself doesn't...

It might be working fine in Logic, but who wants to see this message pop up every single time you launch Logic. Something isn't right and it needs fixing.
