same problem here man!!!
i make an AUX track go to the instruments section of the RTAS's menu and there is no damn "waves rewire" anyyyywhereeeeeeee!
i found where it is in my waves folder...

ok iam really afraid to download this, i have snowleopard and i just migrated my protools over didnt even download that pre-realese cus protools was working fine without it just no air instruments.....

you're right, i also forgot to mention, if you get a new mac thats running on s.l. remember to migrate pro-tools over, its the one way i have found to make protools run without a hitch do not...

thats not true!
i have s.l. and migrated my protools 8 over from my old g5 and it works PERFECTLY.
the amount of tracks you can use in protools are mostly determined by the size of the external...

oh by the way to the original poster you don't have to buy a second hand mac, all new macs have firewire 800 ports which are backwards compatible.

its really weird, my imac 27 inch i7 arrived yesterday and i migrated pro-tool LE 8, logic, and a crap ton of plug-ins to my new computer, (new imac has snow leopard installed vers 10.6.2)

connect an external hard-drive into the firewire800 port on my imac,
then connect the 003 rack directly into that external hard drive??
