OK - update - this seems to be user related.

It only occurs when logged in as administrator... which is weird -

Previously I only ever ran PT logged in as admin :confused:

Hi -

PTLE 8.0.3 CS2 on Digi approved Lenovo T61 Laptop, Vista Business SP2

originally had 8.0.4 but had problems

Digi 002 and/or Mbox Micro.

(This setup was working fine)

No solution from support yet.

I unwrapped the VSTs so I could at least open sessions I am working on. So at the moment I am using stock plugins - at least I am finding my way around the new PT8...

Well I decided to uninstall 8.0.4 and try 8.0.3cs2 - And bingo I can now record in PTLE 8!

I went through your checklist albee1952 and there were no setup errors, so its a mystery :confused:

Just confirming every VST plugin I load up causes PT to crash (all stable plugins I used all the time in 7.4)

In XP I had it in program files, but have it in a different location.

LOG FILE - what prog can I use to read it? Notepad doesn't work... Looks like I can't attach it here.

I guess it was a database error/corruption - would be nice to know, but anyways... solved for now!

No crashes or funny behaviour, and I haven't updated anything...

Worked on a mix last night, saved session, closed down... I didn't delete anything...

Disk Allocation/Template confusion - PTLE 7.4 XP

Hi folks -

Do I have to manually change the disk allocation file path when I create a new session from a template I've created?

I don't recall PT behaving like this before upgrade to 7.4

About "import session data" - Can you clarify? If I start a new project by opening on the template session, what data am I importing if it is a brand...

Hello MIDI question. PTLE 7.0 and Addictive Drums 1.0

I normally start a verse pattern, Ctrl D and paste for bridges and choruses, then modify the pattern for each section, renaming them copying...

Thanks - got the answer - you can insert/move/delete via views >>> rulers >>> tempo (I hadn't activated this view. Also you need to uncheck "snap to bar"

Unless i'm missing something obvious it appears you can only create an event at the beginning of a bar.

Eg I messed up my meter change and need to shift the whole lot from bar 9.1.000 to bar...
