If I understand you correctly you want to try out the Pro Tools software to see what it can do. The 002 converters and pre-amps are different from the ones in the Mbox. So there is no point in buying...

The XLR inputs on the Mbox are mic inputs....if you select 'line' these inputs are inactive and the jack inputs become active.

So the only thing you need is a cable going from XLR to balanced jack...

Yea.

Only for the BF76 it would already be worth it. But the clip remover, tuner and correlation meter are also some of the plugs I like in the bundle.

Hey Chris,

I mostly use the 'Make Curve' function of Autotune and change whatever is needed with that. I think you are talking about the same thing here. It sounds more natural than using the line...

What do you want to do with it? You can record, mix and maybe master your recordings and bounce that down to a wav file or MP3 (if you have the mp3-option in PT) or you can bounce to DAT, 1/2", stand...

It can be used on stereo tracks as a stereo compressor.

I use it a lot too. Mostly on vocals. If you are looking for a present, up front sound, the 1176 can help a great deal! And it can also make...

Absolutely right but what I meant was: What if you would have the same session twice, one recorded at 96k and one recorded at 441. k. Now mix them both and bounce them both down to one 16/44.1 file...
