Re: OWC Mercury Accelsior PCI Express SSD

Still working great. I think they may have come out with a newer model which may even be better. OWC is usually very helpful, so I would give them a call and tell them what you want to get and what...

Re: Audio Input Monitoring Problem PT 10

Anyone have any luck fixing this? All of a sudden today I can't hear record enabled tracks either. Crazy frustrating. I do see a new I/O in pro tools after update. I'm running 10.3.6 and do have pro...

Re: OWC Mercury Accelsior PCI Express SSD

I completely agreed, BUT, I removed BFD and the UAD plug and I'm currently tracking 16 tracks at 64buffer and API 550A EQ's across all tracks as well as A waves Reverb on my vox via aux channel....

Re: OWC Mercury Accelsior PCI Express SSD

Thanks Darryl, It's all starting to make a lot more sense. I was thinking about the Appollo actually since I like the plugs and the fact of low latency and tracking with plugins. Do you think the...

Re: OWC Mercury Accelsior PCI Express SSD

I'm using UAD 2 Duo. I guess I could track vox with a different verb or even use an outboard verb, but with UAD running on it's own DSP my guss is that should have no affect on buffer settings. Am I...

Re: OWC Mercury Accelsior PCI Express SSD

Hey Darryl, Not quite sure what you mean by "decreasing the system drive IO latency/increasing throughput would affect the Pro Tools I/O buffer"

As I said everything seems to run superb at 256 and...

Re: No firewire port for my rack 002

I switched the cable and everything seems to be working OK now. There is still a difference in performance comparing the 002rack and setting the aggregate device.

Re: Best sampler for drums in Pro Tools?

It really depends on what kind of sound your going after. If you're going for the most realistic live drum sounds like I do, I'd go with BFD2. And you can patch each drum to a different track in PT....
