Get an M2 MacPro, should be cheaper or on par with the chassis thing and no messing around with TB to chassis nonsense. The Kona is totally supported on M2. Just get cheap 10$$ nvme to pci-4.0...

I did yes, but I've asked them to let it rest at the moment as it's too time consuming to narrow down for my workload at the moment. I ordered a Blackmagic card to see if it's a hardware issue.

Zero problem. Film sessions have ten thousands of fades. What's odd to me is that PT is asking you to remove unused fade "files". Fade files have been gone from ProTools for ages (10years + maybe?)....

The GPU will not help with the driver not loading, it's the cure for the video engine errors.

On the 5,1 mac you need to disable the "GPU accellaration" in die preferences in PT. With that off the video error completely went away on my old machine (before I moved to the M2 MP)

Thanks! I've asked a few co-workers on 24.3 to reproduce but so far they were not able to. But they were all fully non-avid hardware and blackmagic video cards not AJA.

I've definitely seen some crashes on "restore from session" to all tabs in I/O setup. Double mappings not yet at least not that I noticed.

Nope, importing all into a clean new session does the same thing. I also deleted prefs and tried again and the same thing happened. Looked closer at my meters and I think 6dB more after switching...

A little heads up.

I opened an older session template that was set to "classic" downmix mode and after changing it to "modern" with default parameters made the entire session play back around 6dB...
