Before opening the OMF, start ProTools and create a session. Go to prefrences and turn off
"recompute invalid waveforms". Close the new session and try to open up from the OMF.

I only had one to choose from...a Tram TR50, it seemed to work well. I often would not actually put it on the actors body, but would clip it to the shock mount on my U87 or the music stand.

Try to find out what kind of mic was used in production audio(lav, shotgun). In the past I have gone with 3 mics on ADR sessions;

I have been receiving AAF's from the video editor here at work, he works on a Quantel EQ(very cool video editing hardware/software system)Anyway...it only exports AAF's, it doesn't export OMF.

Thank you very much, latch mode looks like the ticket. I was coming from the Neve L3 board were all knobs were touch sensitive. Thanks for understanding my poorly worded question.

Let me clarify, when I'm holding the rotary knob at a setting, after a few seconds the automation reverts back to the original setting. I want it to stay on the new setting until I release the knob.
