I thought the SAK was pretty pricey too, but I ended up getting an Open box deal at Guitar Center for under $700.

It was missing the power supply, but $20 and a call to the extremely helpful...

There is also a PAYPAL scam going around similar to the Ebay one.

Saying you need to update your information. Asking for SSN, credit card info, bank account number, first born son, etc....

I've heard rumors that it's easier to develop for the RTAS MAC platform, and that RTAS is quite a bit different on the PC side than the MAC side.

Also keep in mind that the Mackie Control is supposedly "coming soon".

It seems pretty nice and can be expanded to more faders.

You could just get a Wav sample of a Snare or Click and then import the wave into PTLE and copy and paste it for a click.

Drawbacks? It uses an audio track (Sampletank you can use an Aux track)...
