Thanks, but I also never use my recording rig for normal computer audio. And the HDN-sonnet issues are solved with latest PT version. So that should not be the problem.

It is very annoying...

Sonnet Echo III Pcie TB chassis fan noise

I bought it on 27 feb 2019, for a project. But never got to use it. So it has been sitting on my studio desk for all that time, doing nothing. Today was the first time I hooked it up.

I'm on MacOS 12.5.6 now, no difference.
No, nothing in AMS.

I use two Lynx Aurora 16 LTHD.

When I hook them up to the HD Native PCIe card in my Mac Pro 5.1, it all works like a charm. But now...

yes! Could it be it interferes with the Mbox Control driver? I use the Mbox Studio in my home studio set-up, and a HD Native set-up in my commercial studio.

As you can read in the post from Avid person JW it is not a faulty device. It is just how the device was designed and that they will try to mute those sounds in future firmware update.

yup, see my original posts. It happens also when opening Apple Music or any other audio software that connects to the MBOX.
