An HD1 system would give you about the same DSP power as a Mix Plus, but would also give you many other advantages:

Double the number of time slots
Higher sample rates
better future...

Does anybody know if the apple adb keyboards work in osX with the iMate?

I know there is an osX driver available but that does not garantee compatability.

As far as I know, there are 3 types of chip on a Mix card, and on an HD card all 9 chips are the same. So yes, they are all equal.

I've had the same problem with it not working through a hub, and it is not he only keyboard that does it.

Try connecting it directly to the mac through an active USB extension cable, they come in...

Apple still sell a boot 9 machine. It is a dual 1.25Ghz with a superdrive.

Go to the apple store, click on g4's then you will see a link to the os9 machines. They don't have firewire 800 though....

There was a similar rumour a few months back saying it was designed by Focusrite but that wasn't true either.

But be aware, I have had problems using them on MDD macs (freezing on startup), this is known to Canopus and they advise using the older drivers, but even them it sometimes does not work properly.

I spoke to Canopus here in the UK, they told me that they are aware of the problem (mac freezing on startup) but had no plans to fix it.

As far as I know...

Mix core cards are identical to farm cards, apart from 1 chip that tells it to be a core.

There is no problem running 2 or more in a system, they will just act like farm...

Has anybody else had this problem?

regularly, the roland 5080 setup in oms is vanishing. We have tried re-installing OMS and trashing the prefs and re-setting but it still happens.

Any ideas?

Maybe somebody can help me out.

I am installing an HD2 system with a 1.25 Ghz G4. My client wants 2 stations to work from, so I have suggested 2 17" LCD's at station 1 and the same at station 2....
