My sound drops out now and then as well. If I toggle the standard audio device in Windows to another device in the list and back to the mbox iz comes back without a restart. Turning the mbox off and...

I had the same problem and went nuts over it but through trial and error I found a solution for my system:

Even though the FireWire driver seemed to have installed correctly and the device manager...
