Controlling mbox mini from computer?

Thinking about purchasing the new mbox mini because of a driver I recently saw. Am I tripping or can you actually controlled the Mbox hardware from the computer?

Is the only way to synchronize the keyboard to Pro Tools via midi?

I am trying to sync my Fantom S keyboard to Pro Tools. Is there any way to do this with 1/4" audio cables? I'm using an Mbox...

Yes that is what I'm trying to do.

And to have the the kool aid comment; I understand that the instruments will still be present, I just want them to be as low as possible.

The Fantom S connected with 1/4 inch instrument cable.

Im using a ¼" instrument cable. The cassette deck is just a regular tape player.
