Re: Behringer DDX3216 w/ ADAT + Pro Tools M-powered

I've seen the board but never heard it. You may want to check out the Ramsa DA-7 instead; have a look on EBAY. The 16 pre amps on the board are phenomenal and each of the 32 channels has a 4 band...

Re: Mixing and delay compensation

Another question; what happens if you automate a send, say to use a delay effect on a guitar part that happens for only a measure or two. So, the track from which you are sending is in synch when...

Technical question on delay compensation

For the sake of this question, I'll use this example:

Let's say I have 2 snare tracks and 3 tom tracks. I decide to send the 2 snare and 3 tom tracks to a reverb plugin set-up on a separate stereo...

Re: PLUGINS

Sorry if I had to correct you but this statement is just flat out wrong, Engineers are always adjusting and fine tuning EQ's. You can work however you like, but any good Engineer will tell you...

Re: PLUGINS

You criticize my verbege and then prove my point in the following paragraph. I would consider EQ'ing before the compressor to adjust the tone before it hits the compressor, as a corrective measure....

Re: PLUGINS

NEVER use an EQ as the first processor in the chain, unless you are using it there for corrective purposes ONLY, such as notching out an offensive frequency! If you use EQ before your compressor or...

Re: M-Audio FW 1814 connection problems...what\'s going on??!

Dillon is right, it's one of 2 things. It's either another firewire device on that buss that is conflicting with the 1814, or if there is no other firewire device hooked up, it's the motherboard's...

Re: Best Interface to use with Pro Tools 7.1

I think mcgirr was saying that the most tracks that can be recorded at one time is 18. You can get 32 total with LE or 48 with the Music Production Toolkit add on, but you can only record 18 tracks...

Re: Best Interface to use with Pro Tools 7.1

It really depends on your mixer. Do you have a digital or analog mixer? Also, how many busses does the mixer have? I'm using a Ramsa DA-7 that has 3 ADAT Lightpipe cards installed. I run the output...
