we upgraded from 7.3.1 recently because of a request from a client for elastic audio. HD 2 on a G5 single 1.6 . I have talked with our engineers and so far it's been smooth sailing.

Email services like Yahoo and Gmail usually have a file size limit for email attachments. This makes it extremely problematic to send large files (even when compressed) to someone with one of these...

You can pick up a used mojo el cheapo on ebay. less than 500$ usually. Ever since the sdi came out there are tons of them on there. I bought one over a year ago for 450.00

Check this thread out. looks like Sonic foundry dvd Architect 1 did it. Now owned by Sony. Look for the post by "hippo" about half way down....

Can't you just pick up the video sequence and move it a half frame back??? or if your worried create a 2nd video track and drag the sequence on to it a 1/2 frame back, so you don't lose the original??

This may be off topic, but sometimes people really don't consider what tools and options are best for them. Digi is not just a workstation. It is a mixer also. They have just chosen not to implement...

I use the SM web server. It works well and my clients
love it. It also tracks all downloads by user etc..
we even use it in house as not everyone needs the full
blown app.

Thats not just apple. it happens on PC's too. Media players automagically go online to get cddb data for an audio cd. If it doesnt find anything close, it may use something already in your computer....

I mean not using the mouse and keyboard. IE using the scrub wheel on my Procontrol and have the edit function keys work without having to leave scrub mode. especailly "seperate"

Our problem is not playback per say, but scrubing with QT. I just assume it is what it is with certain codecs and compression being worse then others.

Avid has many native (non-Quicktime) codecs. The only native codec available to use with PT and mojo is the avid DV codec. I'm not sure why it's sluggish, as with just 13 tracks it really shouldn't...

Penny and Giles sells an oil to lube the metal bar their faders travel on. It's not to be used on the fader brushes or plastic tracks though.

We use Dorrough meters so we can see rms and peak at the same time. It isn't cheap, but they make life easier.
