Larry, I knew there are pc-based running PT 8 using just 3% of CPU usage (music stopped, not playing). There was no increase of CPU usage when some people upgraded from 7.4 to 8.

OK, but this way PT audio engine will be running on a "slow", "not recommended" 5400 RPM HD.
Look, I don´t know, really, if 5400 is slow, I just guess I saw a contradiction comparing two Digidesign...

Or may I install all PT stuff on external HD?
And is it possible or recommended to have two different velocities HDs at same...
