So, Avid support contacted me after 4 hours and placed a trial license in my iLok account which got me up and running. An hour or so later the problem was solved altogether...

Pretty nice...

Great to hear from you so quickly. I managed to enter a support case by now. Still no luck with the iLok account.

Same problem here! I can't contact support because I do not have an activation ID. I am pressed for time also... Hope anyone can help.

Thank you! Will try this. First I'm gonna check if the second SSD helps.
Then I will try and create a Sandra report... It's a whole new world, this Windows thing.

However, it was always running Windows audio alongside ProTools. And it worked before...

I tried working from my system disk, which is a Samsung 960EVO. Very fast. I am surprised it doesn't work. On my Mac computers I never expierienced issues while running sessions from the sytem disk....

Did you check if the 'focus' of the shortcuts (yellow a-z square) is in the edit window and not in the group window or audio pool? This happens to me occasionally...

This problem still persists. I'm using ProTools 11.1.2 on OSX 10.8.5 and when Midi Merge is activated my sustain pedal doesn't respond correctly when recording. It happens with plugins as well as...
