Default Where is the Avid CoreAudio Manager Installed on Mac? (Pro Tools HD 12.4)

Does anyone know where the Avid CoreAudio Manager is installed with Pro Tools 12.4 on Mac OSX 10.11.2 El Capitan?

Thanks

Boot Drive>Library>Audio>Plug-Ins>Hal
Is the driver (Move if using Native Instruments)
The Manager is in Utilities. (Applications>Utilities)
This still works without the Hal location. Just not auto launching.

Oh it's in Applications>Avid>Avid Core Audio Manager. Where it's not is showing up in Apple Sound Prefs so you can use it in other applications. Known bug hopefully will get fixed in PT 12.5 HD. Who knows?

"Applications>Avid>Avid Core Audio Manager."

PT's 10 version Avid location

Clean Install of PT's 12.4 should put it in the Utilities folder
V-12.4 Avid CoreAudio Manager.app.

They are likely the same with different Version numbers.

I think I read that the most recent HD Driver removes core audio manager completely, as it still doesn't work properly.

Very much fed up with the core audio debacle. About to move to another interface so I can actually use Logic on the same system.

Hi,

I´m running Pro Tools HD 12.4 through HDX and same thing here. No Manager in sight.

Does that mean I have no way of playing system sounds / Spotify etc through my interfacer?

I grow weary of this intentional incompatibility with other programs. I've been writing a whole new batch of cues in Logic. I would like to AT LEAST monitor through my normal path, but no... That doesn't work. So for now, I'm using the built in output. But I'm okay with that because Logic is so much more powerful and robust for instruments.

16 years. I've owned a Mix, HD Accel, and HD Native. I know the system really well, and yet it has been good to experience learning Logic and what it can do. Is anyone using the Resident Audio T4 interface? Thunderbolt. 4 in, 4 out. I don't really NEED much more than that for now. It would be a better monitor path and would allow me to record some live instruments and vocals. $250 price tag.

If you are not seeing the Core Audio Manager App under Utilities I would reinstall it.
I am running Yosemite, PT HD 12.4 and I have the Core Audio Manager app showing. And as long as I launch the Core Audio Manager app first, I can use my PT HD hardware in Logic, Cubase, Ableton, pretty much any DAW.
It's still not selectable under Audio MIDI setup in OS X, but it does work with other DAWs as long as you launch the Core Audio Manager before launching the DAW.

29CountsNY, do you mean reinstall the entire Pro Tools?
