glyph drive seems to be crashing pro tools.

hey all. i have a g4 powerbook running on os x, version 10.4.11 with a 1.5ghz processor and 1gb DDR SDRAM memory. i have an mbox 2 hooked up to this with pro tools 6.8.1. i also have two glyph 250gb external drives attached. one is connected via a regular usb cord, and the other is connected via a cable i'm not familiar with, but is shaped differently and has "IEEE 1394" written on it (can you tell i'm a bit of a newbie?). thing is, whenever the glyph that is connected via the regular cord is on, pro tools crashes. "the application pro tools has unexpectedly quit." but when the other one is on, there are no problems. any ideas? below is the problem report.

I am no expert I am still new to this but I do understand this. You should not use the USB for the drive only the firewire. Which I believe is the one cable you were uncertain about.
Try that and see if you do not crash.
