Well, I think I'm going to take "no answer" for "no more DVTK upgrade" at this point: actions (or lack of same) speak louder than words and I will act accordingly. 2 months is not "a couple of weeks".

They must have decided it was a bad idea. Maybe they're going to focus only on the high end shops. Seems like the strategy right now. You gotta pay to play.

I think that it's a bad strategy and that if they throw away the small businesses sooner or later Logic or Reaper or whatever will eat their lunch but what do I know.

DTS, Max, Avid, dealers, anyone? Can someone confirm that upgrade pricing will be available again? Or is it dead and gone? We made plans (or delayed plans) based on information given by a representative of Avid. Some clarity on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I put in a support request for this at the beginning of the month and on the 2nd of December I got a reply saying

"I've checked with sales - the DV Toolkit to Complete Production Toolkit for Pro Tools 10 isn't quite ready yet. They're expecting a release in the next week or so"

Still nothing and this is getting a little frustrating. I do hope it's positive news if (when) it happens.
