Default Fair Warning: DUC Blackout!!

Hello. Don't say I didn't warn you. This is from a thread on the Mac TDM forum on Friday Aug 1, around 2:00 PM
Quote:
We have been doing some behind the scenes testing on the servers for the last few weeks in order to speed up the DUC. That could have made a difference in how things were displayed and some speed fluctuation, but it should only be temporary. We will more than likely be taking the DUC offline for a day (or possibly 2) sometime in the next week or so for a DUC upgrade that should make a real difference. Quite a bit of configuration and testing still to go, though.

In the meantime, I don't know of anything that should effect how quickly the forum post order is updated, but you can try a couple of things that may or may not make a difference on your browser...
Click on the link for
Your Profile and try the following:
Update New Post Indicators
Delete All Cookies Set by This Forum

I realize that Updating New Post Indicators is not the same thing you are talking about, but maybe that will help. Also, if you are just using your back button, it will not refresh the page. You have to either click on Recent Posts, or the Jump to forum link, or the actual forum you are in at the top of each post, like this one:
DUC » Pro Tools TDM Systems » Pro Tools TDM for Mac OS

It seems unlikely that several people would have changed a setting in Safari, unless they all have updated to v1.0 and some default setting changed in the browser. You should be able to change how often your browser updates pages from Never, to Once per Session (the usual default), to Always.

Wow, I thought my computer was acting up. I was ready to reinstall XP cause of the refresh probs.

Hello. Well that day is upon us.

The DUC will be closed for server maintenance and upgrades beginning Wednesday morning. The user conference will not be available during this time for most of Wednesday, and possibly into the next day as well.

Thanks for you patience.

P.S. Some of the regulars can use this opportunity to go outside if you want.
