I have not had an issue, but there are two easy workarounds:

1) turn off "Automatic graphics switching" in the Energy Saver preference pane
2) use gfxCardStatus

Should work.

That's what I did, too.
However I am working with Reaper 4 now and bought the license yesterday. This is some fast DAW and you can use AU and VST plugins.

Lion? Why don't you just use an iPad to get all those crucial Lion features.

Avid, take your time and give us a stable and thoroughly compatible version for Lion. We're in no rush.

I agree with the "stable and thoroughly compatible" but I wouldn't go so far as to say "take your time."

Question Re: OSX 10.7 Lion + PT9

This may be a silly question, but I am about to buy an iMac to replace my PC. Would PT9 work if I used Parallels and Win7? I can feel the laughter already!

I'm running PTLE 8.05 in Lion (on an early2008 Mac Pro) with no problems. All my plugins are fine too.

However, Melodyne and my Line 6 Gearbox application won't launch and I get an error -- "CoreMIDI quit unexpectedly."

You *should* however be able to run it in Bootcamp.

It's not specifically tested or supported, but we've seen users successful with it.
