can Omni be used with other apps

Can i use the new digi interface, like Omni, with other apps ( Ableton live, Logic..etc). I want my apps to speak directly with the interface and the abilitiy to set low buffer....no rewire crap. Thanks

You could assign Logic or Ableton, but then you couldn't run Pro Tools simultaneously. There are no virtual audio buses to port as there is no vmixer, and Digidesign audio devices are a 1 Master application kindof interface.

If you want to set the buffers, have midi out, ability to use plug ins etc on multiple apps then running Parallel is the way to go. But that would require a different interface such as Focusrite's MixControl, Apogee's Vbus or RME.

Yes. Using core audio (on Mac) or ASIO (on pc) you can use any audio application outputting through your Omni (or any other Avid I/O box).

Have you tried it ??? can i set the buffer as low as 32 or 64 using asio with omni ??? Thanks

Hi,

I'm using Ableton Live with my Omni and HDX for programming.
My problem is that I can't change buffer size from 64 samples.
And it makes LIVE crack up when I push it.
Anyone else got experience with this?
