Hello,

Anyone does know of any free plugin which is quite similar to Boom or Redrum in Reason whereas I can load my own personal samples ??

You're talking a drum synth right? Not free but Battery 4 would probably work.

Battery 4 hasn't got a sequencer i assume and it's not cheap ... considering I will be using my own samples

You already have the world's most powerful sequencer - Pro Tools! Write your sequence in that and put your samples in Kontakt 5 which you also have.

Regards,
Every issue of Computer Music Magazine comes with a DVD attached. On the DVD are several free VIs and plugins. There's a couple Boom like old school drum machines that allow you to load in your own samples. Granted they are VST, but they will host in PT in either Reaper via Rewire OR (if 64bit) Blue Cat Audio's Patchwork plugin. I haven't used any of the drum vst's myself as I have enough with Strike, Transfuser, Boom, Redrum and my Yamaha Motif XS8, but there's some nice ones on there.

Also this website might have something like what you want.

Good luck!

And I forgot to mention that you can do this with Transfuser, which you already have. Just drag and drop a sample to the drum kit pad you want in Transfuser. Its easy to build your own kit from your own samples that way. Then edit to your hearts content with all the Transfuser features. You can also do it with Strike. So not sure why you want a Freebie.

Not free, but affordable:

You'll have to use it in a host with PT.

Idrum. Its not free, but its dirt cheap at $49. Works just like Boom, but you can load in your own samples.
