Magic ID

I recently have been getting an error message on certsain songs which when trying to open file reads "Magic ID not found.
Can someone please explain what this is and how to circumvent this.

Unfortunately, this means the session file is corrupt and unrecoverable. You'll have to go into the session back up folder to grab the most recent one that was saved...providing you had auto back up turned on in prefs.

I have some down time so I went ahead with the most recent update.
So far a few issues opening sessions
i just opened a session i worked on yesterday with the latest update and got this message that I could not open the session because the magic id did not match..........10+ years on ptle and never seen this before
I save 30 copies of my sessions and back them up every 3 minutes.....

Why did my session go corrupt after a night?????

ps i had to take my 3 gig switch to 2.8 yesterday to open some sessions due to a message that I could not open them due to insufficient system resources???????????????

Good to hear a success story with someone who actually creates backups of sessions. My fingers automatically hit ctrl+s by habit now. I even do a save session copy(just the session file) by habit every 15 minutes or so to a new location. This is in addition to having auto session backup on, which is set for every 5 minutes.

yes I save often.....every time I make a change..
the keyboard I use is from 3 pc's ago built by carilon and has shortcuts on it.
the "s" key is white...totally worn off

no ideas why the session became corrupt???

I don't think a sandra report would help though
