Default Need to delete "space" at start of song

*sigh* I am sure there is a simple solution for this, but for the life of me I can't figure it out:

I completed a song, a dozen tracks or so, that I began with an EZdrummer track. Decided to delete the first four measures of drums only (before the instruments and vocals begin), so now I have a few seconds/bars of silence before the song actually "begins".

How do I delete the empty space I now have before the song really "begins"? I have a dozen tracks that all need to somehow slide to the left in time so that the beguine is at the beginning...

Sheesh. I'm sure this has to be something pretty simple that I am just unable to find a solution to in my searches....

Thanks!

Matthew

Select all the tracks and drag them all over...

...or simply just click and drag the song start marker in the timebase ruler.

...or leave the space as it really isn't an issue(is it??). I always leave at least 2 bars of blank at the front anyway

I add time markers to the session named "start" and "end". Then when you double click between them it selects that section and that's what it bounces. Plus I can move them as necessary at any time.

It's always nice to have some extra space at the beginning just in case you get inspired to create an amazing extended into. Seriously. I've never wished I had less time at the start. I have had to moved everything back though.

Which reminded me. If you're using VI's. Highlight everything. Make sure you're in grid mode and that the grid is set to 1 bar. Then you can drag everything forward one bar at a time.

Lots of ways to skin this cat.

Change Session Start Time > Maintain Absolute Time (or not Relative Time)
