Top Ten Reasons to Upgrade to 6.xx

rewire is really the only reason it's worth money to upgrade. so from least significant to most significant (at least, according to me, and for everyone this is gonna be different) is

10. revamped GUI
9. new bundled plugs (D-fx, click)
8. DigiBase (TDM gets the real deal of this)
7. 002 R available to us
6. 32 levels of Undo
5. scroll wheel implementation
4. able to use up to 99% of CPU
3. track voices
2. *supposedly* there is no more bug that is gonna kill ur computer embedded / final ASIO driver
1. Rewire

keep in mind i have not read the "what's new in 6.1" cover to cover, nor have i used the software.

but the top ten aspects that would influence me most are the ones i listed. like i said, a top ten list would be different for just about every single person.

with aux's, do you mean aux tracks or busses? either way, i don't think there's a change in the area.

This here PDF says that Multiprocessor support is in this release. It says that ProTools 6.1 can take full advantage of both processors for host-based operations.
