Playback issue

New user, new PTLE 8, Mbox2:

I have recorded a bass track and can see the waveform and fluctuating gain levels as the playback line moves from left to right but there is no sound coming from the headphones or speakers attached to the Mbox 2. I can hear the bass through the headphones when recording (both sides on mono).

Any suggestions. Seems like I am missing something simple but have been working for several hours to resolve with no success.

Welcome to the forum sstrazis. There is a "Getting Started" PDF doc in your Digidesign folder that I'd recommend reading. The chapter called, "Record Yourself" on page 11 is fairly straight forward with lots of diagrams that I'm sure you'll find useful. Here is a direct link.
