Default Super Quick Total Newbie Question

Hey all so I got protools but I can't seem to figure how to extend a waveform. I'm not talking about TCE, I'm talking about like when you cut a track in half, delete a part of the track, and then decide later you want that part again. in all other audio editors I've worked with you just click the side of the waveform and drag it out to restore it to whatever length you want, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that in protools. Sorry this is such a noob question. Thanks!

Use the Trim Tool.

One of many ways.

I tried using trim but that just cuts off part of the audio. Do I have to hold it, press, shift, alt or something like that? Sorry again for my newbiness.

Using the Trim tool, click and drag left/right at the beginning/end of the region.

The big irony to that is one DUCer called me a "dick" other day. Oh well, cant please them all I guess. I'd still help the wanker out though.

Next question anyone?
