The upgrade from PT9 to PT10, is it still $300? But the upgrade to PT10HD from PT7HD is $2,500. High stakes poker for those who wait in the wings...

Hmmmm, I think I'll wait, no hurry though, coming along nicely with LOGIC.

Are these bugs being looked at?

Is there more than just AAF export/import? Did I miss something new? Do you have a way to get panning info to transfer into Protools 10?

Thanks!

Just for the record, this bug happens in all variants of 10. Definitely not limited to TDM. My advice is to restart ProTools before doing ANY final outputs or bounces. You might be missing something without noticing it.

That's a bummer, hopefully there is a fix coming son.

There's a twenty plus page thread on the disappearing audio bug. Your pan automation also stops operating at times. Here's the link http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=311045 . It's well worth reading.

Has this bug been acknowledged with AVID?, or ones with 10 are the beta testers?

Yes, DTS has confirmed that Avid's working on solving the problem.

I'm feeling pretty good about it. I haven't had ANY of the problems that people are posting in some of the threads. As a matter of fact, I haven't had ANY problems (which is why I haven't updated to 10.0.1 yet). If there's one thing I've learned since I started using PT 6.4 in 2005, that's STICK WITH WHAT WORKS. Just because there's an update out, doesn't mean you should get it.

I recently converted a long time Nuendo user over to PT10 so I'm sure you'll love it whenever you're ready to upgrade. Here are a few of my favorite features...

- Clip gain (of course)

AND...

- Additions to the windows configurations (being able to open multiple plugins and SAVE them for easy recall)

They may seem small, but they save me a lot of time in editing / mixing.
